We’ve Got Spice.

Like many great, modern pursuits… this all started with a blog.

At its roots, this was all born out of a love for food. I was originally an elementary school teacher, and my teacher lunch breaks meant ordering food within a short drive from campus. Finding interesting meals to share on my blog, @houstonsgotspice, became a fun, creative outlet and hobby. This opened up one opportunity after the next, until it was time to transition from teaching into the world of Houston food, full-time.

After working as a freelance social media manager, it became obvious that restaurants are better served with a team of talented individuals, rather than one individual handling *everything.* I began adding some amazing people to the team at the beginning of 2021, and we were able to continue growing and adding new faces since… can’t wait to see what’s next!

And then quickly grew into so much more.

HISTORY OF BAYOU BUZZ

Once upon a time…

… there was an elementary teacher named Christina who loved to explore the international foods around Houston during her lunch breaks.

As she tasted her way through the city, she started to document her culinary adventures on social media, and Houston’s Got Spice was born.

What started as a fun way to share her love of food with others gradually turned into a growing business. Christina's talent for capturing the perfect, enticing photos of delicious eats soon caught the attention of the local restaurants she was posting about, who began to ask her to take over and help manage their social media accounts as well.

With demand for her services growing, Christina decided to make Bayou Buzz an official LLC on October 8, 2021. It started out with her taking and editing all the photos herself, while Skyler took care of the account management and posting for their clients.

As Bayou Buzz continued to gain popularity, the need for a larger team grew and became apparent. In no time, Skyler became the Corporate Director, Esmeralda joined as the Business Developer, and Gabrielle was brought on as the Lead Manager. With this dream team in place, Bayou Buzz began to take off.

But the team's ambitions didn't stop there. In July 2022, they made a bold move and acquired HiFi Marketing, a well-respected social media agency in the area. With this acquisition and continuous momentum, Bayou Buzz became an unstoppable force in the Houston social media scene.

Today, Bayou Buzz is more than just a social media agency. We are a team of photographers, social media managers, local influencers, and digital marketers who are passionate about seeing local businesses succeed. From social media, photography sessions, influencer marketing, to web design, paid ads and more, Bayou Buzz offers a wide range of services to help their clients grow their businesses and reach new audiences.

Despite our success, Bayou Buzz has never forgotten our roots. We still love being the tastemakers behind Houstonians finding their next favorite meal, and they believe that Houston's incredible food scene deserves to be amplified. In fact, all of our new clients are acquired organically, whether that’s through word-of-mouth or from being posted on Houston’s Got Spice.
